HIDIVE really the new home for Lupin.

I assume they'll use an LA dub cast but I wonder if Tony Oliver will still play Young Lupin? It seems like they went with a different seiyuu.

I don’t like Sentai having the Lupin license. Discotek is much better, even if they don’t have their own streaming service.

Because you irrationally hate Sentai. Something tells me that Lupin fans who don't like BD's with 12-13 episodes crammed in prefer Sentai.

Well, that's a big F-U to Lupin fans that don't live in the USA and the other 5 english speaking countries in which Hidive serves.

The article never said anything about Sentai giving it a home video release, so there's still hope.....maybe....

Sentai just solicited part 6 on BD last week.

Yeah, I know. I meant for Lupin Zero specifically.

Someone said before that the dub is handled by TMS, Sentai just distribute, so it likely will be in LA. Though they might use different cast members for the younger characters, i can't imagine Epcar sounding that young.

I know, Lupin III is not very well known in Latin America, we only got Part I and almost all of the movies (including the Conan crossover) dubbed, although the CG movie got dubbed in 2020 and Part VI premiered with a Neutral Spanish dub on april this year, it was one of the last anime that HiDive dubbed into Spanish before leaving most of the region. Perhaps HiDive will try top re-enter the LatAm market and dubbed this one.
To be fair Lupin III history in Latin America has been kind of weird, Part I was dubbed in Los Angeles, the movies (including the recent live-action) were dubbed in Mexico, though Cagliostro got redubbed in Argentina and Part VI was dubbed in Argentina as well, though some characters are voiced remotely by Mexican actors, but none of the actors who worked in the Cagliostro redub reprised their roles, though some of them are present voicing secondary and minor characters.

I think it might depend on A. if every young version of the gang appears and B. if they cast new seiyuu for them.

(Miyuki Sawashiro would probably play a Young Fujiko though).

I very rationally hate Sentai. They charged $800 for LoGH, an absolutely insane price, even for that number of episodes. And their dubs are mediocre. And their catalogue, outside a few key titles, is weak.

Discotek treats their BDs with a lot of care and respect, so I'd rather they have Lupin. They dwarf Sentai in quality.

Well they won't be charging anywhere near that for this, they won't be dubbing it, so your blanket statement is redundant here, and if you are only interested in the home video release it shouldn't matter if it is on Hidive.

What happened to them announcing which regions can get shows? I remember them doing it before.
