Would really love to get all of these, but the price for a box set is awfully expensive. I would've assumed it went for $50 or so. Does anyone know why it might be so pricey?

Kodansha USA Publishing released Isaki's one-volume Is Love the Answer? manga in English digitally and in print in January. The manga was Isaki's first solo work to appear in print in English.

Wait a sec! As much as I enjoyed Is Love the Answer, it isn't Isaki Uta's first work in English, despite how Kodansha has been marketing it! That honor belongs to Generation Witch, which even pre-dates the publishing of Mine-kun is Asexual iirc. It's a pretty good manga too, so it's a shame that no one seems to remember its release.

Probably since irodori is more indie publisher, at least physicals wise (ik they publish a lot of R18+ so maybe they're bigger there but I mainly follow irodori aqua releases and it looks like they haven't published a lot of physicals throughout their branches/imprint(?) ). Glacier Bay Books which seems more resonable to compare to (Indie pub wise) has like $10 15-30 page books. Though the quality and variety of covers and printing etc especially imo makes their stuff worth!!! For an physical I don't think it's that bad considering indie publishers. Though if it's gonna be standard size glossy manga volume then yeah 85 is oof... I would go digital if that's the case... I'm hoping it'll be a nice design and good quality of it's gonna be $85. Idk why but my brain immediately went to a 4 book set with a like chipboard boxset but the more I think about it that's probably unlikely....

I'm hyped for Mine-kun is Asexual!! I really hope the campaign is successful ><
