Shaman King Flowers is technically unfinished despite having a sequel but it is also only 6 volumes long. Again, with no ending there. How will any of this work I wonder?

It looks... the same as the 2021 anime, particularly the limited animation. Meh.

As I understand Netflix will not be licensing this new series, I expect a similar situation to what happened with Edens Zero season 2. Here in Latin America Edens Zero S2 got picked up by the platform Anime Onegai, but despite being based in Mexico and dubbing their own shows in-house they managed to keep almost all the actors from EZ first season which was dubbed entirely in Chile, with all new characters voiced by Mexican actors. If Onegai manages to get the rights for Shaman King Flowers it'd be easier for them since many of the voice actors who worked on the '01 and '21 version of Shaman King work for them as well, but sadly Amidamaru and Tokagero will need new voices since their voice actors passed away

Flowers has no ending but Hana's narrative continues in other Shaman King manga milked by Takei. The first sequel to Flowers changes protagonists but Hana returns in another manga.

Flowers getting both a spin-off (with spin-offs of its own!) and a semi-sequel at the same time after the author had a falling out with Jump and switched publishers made the IP´s barrier of entry insane. The original manga´s rushed ending is of course now a historic footnote due to the do-over through reprints before Flowers even began but the later drama + spin-offs that demand a reading order and the rush job anime re-do basically killed this outside of Japan.

The studio can make the most convoluted anime possible if source material from manga other than Flowers will be used. They kind of have to not end mid-sentence.

The reprints allowed an actual ending to the original story, not a "do-over". The magazine Flowers was in ceased publication, cutting it's serialization short(like the OG series, not a "rushed" ending, just no ending at all). In 2018, Takei wanted to evidently continue and finish the series but Shueisha wasn't interested, so he went to another publisher. It wasn't necessarily a "falling out", but it is a pretty rare thing. So the continuing series now has as many volumes are Flowers, there have been numerous side-story series, a remake anime, and now a follow up anime based on Flowers in addition to tons of pop-up cafes, mobile game tie-ins, and other stuff. It's booming as a franchise these last 5-6 years. There's a lot of material for sure, but maybe take the time to research something before saying it's convoluted?

For the general viewer, it's fine to just watch the Remake series and then this new one based on Flowers. If they want to dive into the manga afterwards, cool.

If Netflix isn't picking up the spin off, what's going to happen with the English dub? Crunchyroll never dubbed Eden's Zero s2 in English and even if this is lucky enough to get a dub, I would be surprised if Crunchyroll was willing to use any of the LA cast from the first series in it.

I wouldn't get ahead of yourself Silver Kirin, cause just because a french streaming distribution licensed Shaman King Flowers doesn't necessarily mean that Netflix is not going to license Shaman King Flowers.

The only reason that Netlfix didn't license Eden's Zero Season 2 is that

1. The anime production committee for this particular anime series and many others had a much higher pricing bid leading to Netflix dropping out and Sentai and/or Crunchyroll swooping in.

2. Netflix not being interested in licensing the season despite the huge appeal and would rather just focus on creating and commissioning their own anime originals

3. Season 1 of Eden’s Zero didn’t perform as well as Netflix hoped and decided not to license Season 2, similar to what happened with Season 3 of Teasing Master Takagi-San when Sentai licensed that season instead of Netflix despite Netflix licensing Season 2 of Takagi-San

Again, things could change, maybe Netflix could license it 2-3 months before release, but until then we'll have to wait and see.
