Judging by how non-committal he sounds, I suppose he doesn't have an idea for a sequel right now, nor the disposition to make one. Personally, I'd be totally satisfied with The First Slam Dunk as his last word on this series, and I'd rather have him resume and finish Vagabond instead. Still, I bet Toei will spend the next years pestering him for another Slam Dunk movie.

I wouldn't put it past Toei to just readapt the entire manga as a CG TV series. That would let them continue to make money off of Slam Dunk without needing Inoue to make more of it.

I wish we had a sequel with a satisfied ending (unlike the manga...) This film closed one story and for that I loved it, but... spoiler[I would like to know what happens with the main character and his two main issues: his injury and his love, dang, I don't remember either of those being resolved xD]
