Misleading. The arc starts on December 3rd but Egghead doesn't show up 'til January 7th

So there's gonna be mini filler arc 'til January 7th?

No. It's a canon lead-up to the new island/arc proper. In the fandom, the lead-up is counted as part of the new arc. The anime has divided it a bit differently.

Wano was 191 episodes long and had 8 recap specials. There were also 4 movie fillers (2 of those for Stampede!) and a Film Red special but these are excusable. 16 volumes and 149 chapters were adapted without a filler (sub) arc in the mix. Toei turned 18 volumes of Sailor Moon into 200 episodes + more and arguably stopped adapting it at a certain point but One Piece still surpassed what happened in the 90s as fewer pages of source material exist for Wano. Even slow-as-tar adaptions like S1 of Ashita no Joe move at a far faster pace.

Jump´s own JoJo is 190 episodes long (+ 4 Rohan OVAs). 80 volumes were adapted. That anime goes by a bit fast of course, outside of the Part 3 section, but this also leads to fights with fast-paced action. Something the all-action 3rd act of Wano can only dream of.

Egg Head is the best Post-Timeskip arc after it gets past a meandering setup-up phase (some of it concludes Wano) but Toei will equally murder it with the current pacing as the gap between the manga and anime is even shorter now.

I’ll miss Wano, but simultaneously, it’s exciting to be in fresh waters.

I think we might be entering Namek saga filler soon with One Piece. Egghead Island so far only has 41 chapters.

It isn't misleading. Why you think that?

Wano did officially end last night, so I guess if you use razor-thin logic the next arc starts next week.

The title isn't really misleading spoiler[since they got to cover the updated bounties, the Cross Guild, Blackbeard vs Boa Handcock vs Navy, Bonney showing up, and then "Dr. Vegapunk" showing up. That's about four or five chapters there, or weeks for the anime.] Lots of building up before they actually get to Egghead. Each arc has them. As far as I know, the studio considers the start of the arc when they reach the next island, like they did with Wano and all the others.

I dread the pacing.

I always thought Yu Yu Hakusho was good as it gets far as manga to anime adapatations go for Shonen, but re-watching FMA Brotherhood, I think that really set the bar high. Maybe too high.

To be more precise if they still to one chapter to each episodes then there should only be three episodes before spoiler[the Straw Hats reach Egghead. Namely there is the Cross Guild, the incident at Amazon Lily, and the Straw Hats' actions on the Thousand Sunny prior to reaching Egghead.

This is all that is left before the the Straw Hats reach Egghead and that will help clear up all misleading information since there is also the upcoming holiday break to deal with as well.]

[EDIT: Spoiler tags added. -TK]

Kind of worried about the pacing (as always) but the visual looks cool.

Nami and Robin straight up ditching pants. Heh.

Pacing might be just one chapter for now, which hasn't happened in a long time. Right now 1099 just released, interlude arc from end of wano to egghead ch 1058-1061, so 3 epsiodes with a possible vegapunk lead up to filler on the 24th and an anime filler/bye-week on 31st, with the egghead island start with ch 1062 in jan where the manga might be around ch 1103/4 based on oda's schedule around the end of year.

For why the crew is dressed that way, find out in jan or read the manga if you can't wait

Can't wait to see how much of this Wano arc is gonna get trimmed out in the One Pace version. Those guys cut down Dressrosa arc to 48 episodes! It was almost 120 episodes originally, the One Pace crew are unsung heroes.

The big problem with YuYu Hakusho is that most fights were anticlimatic to the point the final arc was skipped. The anime tried expanding on it. Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood had the advantage that the ending was set in motion when the anime started so by the one of the final volumes Arakawa herself said that she was kinda tired since Brotherhood had just finished.

Lol, why misleading when the video literally says 7th January?
