Plot wise the first DLC was a bit stronger but gameplay wise the second is just way funnier, i don't have much to farm as i alreay have everything in my HOME but the new mechanisms ( especially the world while flying) are enough to keep me waiting until the futur mythical.

The ladder, in particular, feels like a prototype mode that GAME FREAK is testing for a potential future game.

I think you meant "latter" not ladder?

I honestly loved The Indigo Disc. The double battles, while definitely not my forte, was a fun challenge, and I do love how huge the Terarium is. I'm still finding areas I hadn't checked nearly a week in. The characters - both new and old - are fun, and I still have plenty of stuff to unlock and do outside of the main story. The music was such a delight to hear as well. But yeah, disappointed in the frame rate. Yeah, it's not as bad as Kitakami, but man, the crawl you go to when it's suddenly raining around any area with water... not fun at all.

I also like some of the additional content to be found after completing the story. spoiler[The Team Star bonus storyline was very cute, and I love the new wearables that are unlocked from it. But good thing that I had a lot of stuff built up from raids because it cost me SO much to unlock it all. Laughing But some of the stuff we got from this are now going to be my go-to outfit from now on. I also literally gasped at the special cutscene that happened when you go back to Kitakami. Like... besides just the emotional feels of it, the implications of what it actually does for the entire story really had me surprised. I do like the idea of hunting down the legendaries, but I'm annoyed by the shiny locks. After Dynamax Adventures allowed for us to get so many of them in shiny form and with increased odds, to go backwards and still preventing us from getting a few in shiny form period just... it annoyed me. I was looking forward to shiny hunting them, even if that meant soft resetting, especially since a few of them I already screwed myself on getting via DA and I can't get them again unless I restart playing my Sword game.]

And we're not even fully done, as Pokemon announced we are getting an epilogue chapter on January 11th, which I won't deny I have hype for. But namely because it looks like we're traveling with the original crew. As much as I do love Carmine and Kieran, being able to have another adventure with Penny, Arven, and Nemona again makes me very happy. I do hope there will be a way to mix both the OG crew and the DLC crew together, because that'll be really neat. spoiler[I do hope there are possible interactions between all of them via the special coach invites to Blueberry Academy as well, but I haven't built up the BP to unlock a lot of that, so not sure yet.]

I still think the performance issues are the biggest PITA for SV, and I kinda wish they brought back more Pokémon like the Machop, Abra and Yamper lines, but yeah, this part was incredible! So much better than "Teal Mask," far more extensive and engaging. I thought for sure that you could invoke regional evolution in the Coastal Biome (I had to transfer an Alolan Raichu all the way from my Ultra Sun game to Scarlet), but it's not that big of a deal. And the new battles are actually difficult for once! Even my EV-trained level 100 champion team had trouble with Lacey and Drayton, which is really saying something. Overall, I think the upcoming epilogue isn't gonna be as big as this part, but I have faith it'll be a proper send-off for these games.

At this point, would the chance for performance upgrades come with an omnibus edition of the game(s) that includes all the extra content built-in?

They made the game fluidier with the recent 3.00 so at least, it doesn't seem like they intend to let S&V end in this state, the final content coming next month is too nearby from now so i doubt a performance update would come so soon. S&S which had less issue was still getting updated 18months later.
