Looks like a fun show. I'm curious how it will turn out.

Btw, the clip right before City Hunter shows a new show about the rise of Dump Matsumoto, probably Japan's most (in)famous 80s female wrestler. Her autobiography was adapted as a manga by Hidenori Hara (train man manga) in 2022-23.

I guess the sexualization of female characters won't be adapted, right? The more I remember the series the more ridiculous I find such handling.

I've been hoping and hoping that someone else would pick up the manga since Gutsoon's demise 15 or so years ago. It's such a classic and with DiscoTek re-releasing the anime, and now this, it seems like the time is ripe for someone like Seven Seas to do so.

hopefully the live-action City Hunter will be a success and we will get more CH movies. i refuse to support that greedy Netflix

AkColl: If City Hunter was shorter, I could see it getting picked up. But I do wonder why at least either Cat's Eye and maybe the first season of Angel Heart haven't been licensed.
