I don't know if the artists have any problem but they managed to write enough chapters for volume 13 which will be released in April. Still, heard there was a longer hiatus before probably due to social distancing

We only have rumors regarding this break's reason and the few others, at least Frieren's break happened either at the end of an arc or at the very beginning like in this case, so they never really been as frustrating as on a cliffhanger. I am already satisfied enough as my favorite character spoiler[Übel] recently came back.
