Netflix really didn’t promote that they had this at all, huh

Or maybe they never licensed this until just now?

It could be, the thing is that, if I'm not mistaken, Shaman King Flowers' rights were acquired by a French distributor named Anime Digital Network, who then licensed it to other international companies, for example, in Latin America the rights for Flowers were acquired by Anime Onegai, who also acquired the rights for Edens Zero season 2, and they begain airing the Neutral Spanish dub for the series on February, 28.
Something that also grabbed by attention is that Netflix Latin American site lists the series as Rey Chamán Flowers, Rey Chamán being the official Spanish name given to the 2021 reboot by Netflix, the original 2001 series kept its original name and Onegai also left the title of Shaman King Flowers in English. This has led people to speculate if that means the series is going to have an alternate Neutral Spanish dub, something that has happened before, in 2021 Funimation redubbed Cowboy Bebop into Neutral Spanish, but Netflix also gave it a redub as well around the same time, and they both were recored in the same studio but with some characters having different voices and only Funimation's version bringing back most of the VAs from the original 2001 dub. Vinland Saga is another series that had it's own dub on Netflix, but Crunchyroll made its own dub for its second season with a completely different cast in most languages.
Onegai's Shaman King Flower's dub has managed to kept the most of the VAs from the previous 2 series, don't know if Netflix could just used that version, though some people want another dub with somechanges in its cast because they have some issues with Hana's VA that are of complicated to explain.

The reboot was quite boring honestly, I assume this will be the same, going by the general opinions of people who have been watching it weekly.

I hope this means it'll get dubbed because that was my biggest concern when I found out Flowers wasn't premiering on Netflix.

I'll take the reboot over "Tao Lenny" and "Zeke Asakura" any day.

As soon as I started Flowers, I realized Yoh's character had a charm comparable to other caring heroes like Himura Kenshin or Allen Walker so I couldn't care at all for Hana's story. The scenario doesn't help that much. The Hana from the series' beginning already surpassed the Yoh (kind of) from the first series but it feels like he hates his life a lot as if he was the oppposite of Yoh. I barely remember the other characters and sadly the animation is still kinda bad when it comes to action sequences. So yeah... Maybe I'll check the rest since I have Netflix.

I just finished watching this the other day! I didn't originally have many hopes for it, the Shaman King reboot was meh and normally sequels about the main characters' kids aren't good but I actually thoroughly enjoyed the show! Found it so weird that, in 2024, when almost every anime each season gets licensed, that this one (and the reboot) didn't! I had to wait for fansubs like way back in the day!

I'm glad someone finally got this and I hope this means the Netflix dub cast for the reboot will come back for this. It's annoying this show is still being released in a binge watch model when Netflix has pretty much stopped that with all their other new shows.
