I can never seem to view streaming videos from Japan, it's incredibly annoying...

Does anyone have a link to a blog or streaming site that's hosting the trailer? (Youtube is broken for me as well Anime cry ) EDIT: <--- lazy me - Crunchyroll saved the day...

Just watching a simple trailer proves exactly why I.G is my favorite animation studio. Their animation is like delicious cake. Everyone who is at all intrigued by the trailer, please participate in my thread when the show comes out! Anime smile

Production I.G continues to amaze me with what they can do with a television show's budget.

I think they get slightly higher budget than usual manga spin offs. I.G. proved itself as world class animation studio among Japanese animation industry. Speaking of people, they seem to have no problem getting quality artists.

There's a better quality version, ie not a cam in a noisy room, on YouTube:

What impresses me is how they can work on this project while also doing the doing the production for two other shows this season, xxxHOLiC and Library War. Ghost Hound hasn't finished its run on Japanese TV yet and there's still Oshii's new movie The Sky Crawlers that comes out in August. I just hope the quality doesn't falter at all because of this.

I.G never falters when it comes to quality, I can guarantee you that. Wink

But anyway, they have two studios to work with and Ghost Hound's last episode is this Thursday, so you shouldn't have to worry about it.

Too bad the same can't be said about Blood+, which did begin to falter noticeably over the course of the show, but hearing that they have two studios to work with definitely eases my mind.

In animation quality or story?

Both. While the animation quality was constantly well above the average show I thought it was at times lower than Production I.G's standards, but the story was where it hurt most. It's still a very good show, it's just little disappointing coming from Production I.G as the sequel to Blood the Last Vampire, and the fourth opening song annoyed me to no end.

Oh yeah, forgot about that one. But hey, if that's a low-quality (for I.G) production, then we still have nothing to worry about. Some studios can't even match that as their best.
