Saw the first season when Gonzo uploaded it on Crunchyroll last year. Looking forward to seeing this one, also. (even though it's ridiculous use of fan service can be rather appalling)

The last few episodes were a lot more serious than initial few. Maybe they'll tone down the fanservice and aim more for the novels for the second season. One can hope so, anyway.

I'm hoping for a more serious second season too. It looks like things were getting hot by the time the first season ended. I am definitely looking forward to this!

I'll definitely check this out. Hopefully, Funimation licenses it as well.

Good news.

And I assume this will be included in that deal FUNi made with Gonzo to release all of its current and future works? I at least hope so. FUNi still hasn't said anything about a number of Gonzo titles, despite this pledge.

I'm actually more curious if I'd be able to watch it on the legal channels when it's released. Not that that would keep me from watching it if I can't.

Well, why not? The first season got a healthy legal streaming treatment, and the new deal between funi and Gonzo ensures that the second will too... Wink

Strike Witches? Serious? Why? I like my lulz and ecchi, thank you very much. (If you want something kind of like this but more serious, then watch Simoun.)

Making this show serious would make it even worse than it already was since there's no way to take it seriously because of how retarded it is.

I'm super excited about this, but I'm saddened that chances are it won't come out till 2010. Then again, isn't that when Funimation will begin releasing the first season? So, I suppose it works out nicely.

As it should be. <3 Gonzo.

Also, those promo images from the magazine seem to indicate a heavy Italian or Grecian theme. Possible setting of the new series?

I'd say all signs point to SW season 2 being on CrunchyRoll as well. We have the precent of Druaga's second season returning to CR, after all.

Strike Witches is what happens when you nuke a country twice.

Can we please get the Toradora spinoff OVA now?

Hahaha, poor taste, yes, but funny. Season one drove me nuts with how rediculious it was, though it was kinda funny how far out of the way the show went to make efforts to set up fanservice shots. Funny in that "oh god why am I watching this" way. Doubt I'll bother looking into season two.
