Didn't Tamaoki also get some of his hentai manga published as SexPhiles under Eros comics? Didn't realize one of his work got turned into an anime. I haven't bought too many US translated hentai comics, but he's one of the ones whose art is very interesting. Him and Oh Great's Silky Whip was published back in the day and I ended up finding their other work and then finding those copies much later on.

There's very little of Tamaoki's work in the US. Of course that's not too uncommon for a more obscure artist, especially one who dabbles in hentai. (Hellsing's creator comes to mind too.) Pretty much I've found a bunch online, translated and untranslated. He's got such a bizarre style. This new works sounds interesting, though I doubt I'll see it anytime soon. I'd love to see more of his stuff in the US.

Hmmm.. Was some of his work in that Viz Pulp Undergound Manga anthology? I also was unsure if he did Short Cuts, but that was the also amazingly bizzare Usamaru Furuya.

Yeah - he had a story called Editor Woman in the Secret Comics Japan book. It's not exactly one of the highlights...

So far as I can tell, there's very little of his work anywhere. ANN only lists him as having done a couple manga. Is there some other work no in the encyclopedia?

(Personally I hated Blood 2002. The art is interesting but it's rendered rather moot by the level of writing which...well lets just say it's very apparent he normally writes hentai.)
