I saw it last week and thought it was great, not in a tier with Wonderful Life or Maboroshi, but better than just about everything else I've seen this year. It's about as mainstream as Koreeda can get. world's end girlfriend provides a solid soundtrack, but it stays pretty static, lacking the tension of his non-soundtrack work. The packaging for the OST is gorgeous, however, and makes it worth the price.
