I've personally never been very fond of her, and think there are other actresses that don't get as much attention because of her constant need for people to care about everything she's doing. HOWEVER, there is no denying that she is a very talented individual, and one who does a very large amount of work to be where she is. This is a very impressive feat, and I wish her well

She really is amazing. Her brief scenes in Disappearance of Haruhi make the entire film.
I just hope she can go back to being Haruhi. |

Never was a fan of her, but I respect her for basically telling the media to kiss her ass. Any other idol would be dead (socially) after what she went through.

I never thought about it, but...Menchi really did sound like Hirano in the anime. The brash loud yet girly voice appears to be Hirano's forte. |

A Japanese around my age who actually shows more ageing signs than me. Her looks totally went downhill after she quit anime, that's for sure. Glad to have her voice back though.
The otaku's horniness is something we'll never be rid of. Whatever she does to her career won't change the fact that her voice makes her characters sound sexy. |

THIS. As much as I like Hirano (which I don't), I still believe Wendee Lee did a better job with Haruhi as a character. I however do believe Hirano does the pschyo characters way better than her normal characters. Katja anybody? Just in my opinion however. |

Actually, on the subject of Wendee Lee, I hated her Haruhi voice, to be honest.
But yeah, how about we recognize Aya for other roles she's done for once? Aside from Konata too. Does anyone even remember that she was Pachira from Magical Pokaan before almost anything else? Or that she played Misa Amane? Is anyone aware that she's now the voice of Prishe from Final Fantasy 11? |

Aya was one of the main reasons I was interested in watching Haruhi in the first place - I was disappointed she only appeared for a few seconds in the first (broadcast) episode. |
