A long standing question has now been sort-of answered. I wonder when the next part is going to start. Maybe in the fall...

While that would by far be the coolest thing ever, airing in the fall seems like a much more likely option. Since DP got a lot of money from this first season, they can probably afford better and more expensive animation now, and they'd need the extra time to get the animation looking at least somewhat decent for TV broadcast.

As much as I love JoJo and how much I'd like to see Jotaro, David Production could animate the second arc of Inu x Boku SS in the meantime. Or maybe just finish the first arc considering those 12 episodes only adapted the first 9 chapters.

The third and last arc started in February so after they finish the second arc they can take their time animating JoJo or another project.

David Production is doing Neptunia in Summer... they're too small of a studio to do 2 anime at once.

What if they do another season of JoJo, but they start with Part 4 because Part 3 has already been animated? Wink

That would be a terrible, terrible waste. There's enough material that the OVAs did not cover that David Production can do for their own adaptation. Not to mention that Stardust Crusaders is easily the most popular (and most lucrative) story arc in the Jojo series. I'm willing to bet that the TV Ratings would skyrocket for that point in the series as well.

Surprising absolutely no one.

No seriously, if you were still doubting in the slightest that this show wouldn't get greenlit for the next arc, you obviously haven't been paying attention to the ratings. It's been a given for quite a while now that they would be continuing it, they just hadn't announced it yet. The numbers don't lie.

Now someone needs to license the series here. We need more Jojo's love in the US. I know the DVDs/BDs have subs but import prices are too insane. Funimation, Sentai, anyone, GET THIS.

And before anyone plays the "band names" card, someone in UK apparently already has the license according to Manga UK. If it can be licensed there it can be licensed here too.

If only Viz cared enough to put the manga on digital because right now volumes of it cost upwards of $100 and it's just stupid to have to pay that much for a good series.

And to start from Part 1, not Part 3 like Viz did with the manga.

It would be ridiculous for them to start with Part 3.

Also, this would fit Toonami PERFECTLY.

Well, I didn't know anything because I haven't been paying attention to the ratings, but this makes me happy.

Its not like ratings even matter for a late night anime like this, since its only an infomercial for the most part.

What does matter is its sales, which have been stellar and were the 2nd best of Fall 2012. No real surprise they'd make more.
