Daily Lives specifies DVD only, Utena doesn't specify either way. Interesting. At any rate, I'm sold on Utena if there's a Blu-ray release, otherwise I'll have to decline. Either way, I hope the title sells well for them.

Story says Utena is a DVD release too:

Hanabee's DVD release will contain the English dub and sub and be housed in a collectors box

I'd be surprised if this wasn't the same as the RightStuf version that was released last year or the year before.

This article says that, but the ANN press release doesn't and neither do any of Hanabee's direct announcements that I've been able to find (website, Facebook, Twitter). I've also asked them directly and they're usually very forthcoming, so it's safe to say they're either withholding it or haven't confirmed. At any rate, it hasn't been confirmed for DVD-only.
Plus, the Japanese Blu-ray release came out between the Righstuf DVD release and this current announcement.

This is my fault, when I recieve a press-release like that I ask what formats. Hanabee responded that it's DVD only at this stage, but it appears to be the re-master.

The standard industry course here atm seems to be DVD first, Blu-ray only when they're sure it'll sell. There's a few exceptions to the rule (Tiger and Bunny *cough*) but for the most part that's the pattern.

Ah, cool. It'd be a shame if it would up being DVD-only, what with the Blu-ray edition existing and being of a cel anime and looking fantastic and all. If it is that pattern, I hope it works.
