Looks like fun! And on NHK?! That's... strange. Well, at least I can watch it at 5:30 PM instead of late night... THANK YOU!

I find it strange too, but guess it wont be full of fanservice and pandering for good then.

One Piece and Fairy Tail airs during normal hours and is full of fanservice.

The primary reason for midnight+/early am airings is cost, as the production committee has to pay for the tv slot themselves. I would presume in this case NHK might be a member or sponsor. I bet the ads during this show would otaku oriented; something very different from other evening NHK shows.

NHK is a public broadcaster. They don't carry ads.
