Considering it's only worthy competition was "Frozen" and DM2, that's not that much of an achievement.

Except Frozen was a freaking fantastic movie, probably the best Walt Disney Studios (Feature Animation) film since at least The Lion King, and I shall be very happy when Frozen wins the Best Animated Feature Oscar. (The Wind Rises is going to take some of the chi-chi critics' awards, and I don't doubt that it will be at least nominated for the Best Animated Feature Oscar, but the subject matter's going to be a turn-off with many older Academy members.)
