I was hoping for Index III to finally be green-lit but this isn't bad. Recently caught up to the LN so I'm excited for it. I'm hoping it will be 2 cour.

Looking forward to this.

I was wondering when this was coming. Lots of people were wanting this if memory serves.

I always find it weird when they announce the cast before a release window or a studio. I wonder what studio will work on it. It will probably be JC Staff, but A1 Pictures is a possibility as well, as is BONES since they said they are doing 3 adaptions next year, thetiming of the announcement would make sense. Either way the studio that makes it will probably be quite successful with it.

Having never seen any of the Index or Railgun series I'm not entirely sure wgar to expect but it might be pretty interesting!

I have a great feeling this will likely be licensed by Funimation. Also, do any characters from A Ceratain Magic Index appear in Heavy Object?

I think they said they were doing 3 manga adaptations and how some of them will be dark. This isn't manga nor is it dark, that Gangsta. thing is most likely a Bones project.

No the Indexverse is completely seperate from the HO universe. (Wait, the Princess has a name? Smile )

Thought this would be the case, since I thought it was very suspicious that they got people to voice the Heavy Object characters in that short released a little while ago. Still sad that I'm not getting my third season of Index.

If we look at the studio that adapted Kazuma Kamachi's previous works, I think it is safe to assume that J.C. Staff will return to animate Heavy Object as well.

Well I'll give it a shot when it comes out since I do like Index and parts of Railgun to an extent, but MAN did I just want season 3 to come out already...

And my prediction about Index III is becoming more true.

I wonder who will sing the opening/ending song...Mami Kawada or Fripside or someone new?

Im actually happy they give Heavy Object an anime adaption. WHy? Simple, season 3 of Index or Railgun is a given, they comes nomather what because the Index universe is a cashcow. Probably Accelarator will be adapted eventuelly as well. Remember the index movie was released in 2013 en railgun s 2 1 year ago. So my point is: THis is a nice bonus.
