Man, that came out of nowhere. I guess Viz blew too much money on Sailor Moon to get it.

I'm surprised Viz didn't get Rin-ne. Haven't read the manga in a while but the anime looks good!

I'm surprised too. I thought it was a given that they'd get the streaming and DVD/Blu-ray rights. What a mysterious world we live in. Shocked

yeah considering that Viz has had the right to Rumiko Takahashi's other series (InuYasha, Ranma 1/2) I thought this was definite pick up for them

mdo: The licensing fee for Sailor Moon murdered them. Cool

Also very surprised by these news. I have not checked the anime yet, but I hope it is good.

Me too. Maybe it is just me, but has anyone else noticed that other than Sailor Moon and Ranma 1/2, Viz seems to have cut down their anime licenses and releases. With all their recent QC issues, I would not be sad to see Viz exit the anime market for good.

Damnit, I was hoping Viz would get this one Sad
Oh well, I'll still buy it, but only if it includes a dub. I truly hope it gets one...

I was like "what?". I find this quite baffling. Let's just hope that potential cameos of characters from InuYasha, Ranma ½, and Urusei Yatsura aren't cut.

Guess Sailor Moon cost Viz an arm & a leg to license and re-dub, leaving nothing left for grabbing newer shows?

Oh what a world...

Perhaps Viz Media decided to pass on acquiring Rin-ne for the reason that they're too busy with their new English version of Sailor Moon?

In any case, I may give this show a watch sometime.

even i was surprised that it didn't happen considering they have a tendency to license a lot of Rumiko's mangas. also since their doing the dub cause its gonna have one, it means however that they will be no ocean studios dub for this series. especially VAs that have done both ranma 1/2 and inuyasha cause if it did, we all would expect that they would have richard ian cox to voice as rinne .
