Not surprising that Soma got the top rank there on the list. I like him as well in the show but my favorite from the series would be Satoshi Isshiki .

I voted for Tadokoro, so I'm glad to see her in 2nd place. It's a bit surprising to see Erina in 3rd considering the amount of hate she gets around these parts, and I'm actually kinda happy about it, as I don't consider her to be a bad character at all. Dislikeable at times? Sure, but I do enjoy seeing her.

Im glad Erina did fine despite the haters, i like her, i mean i get why some dont but she is a Tsundere type, we have seen it before but in her case she has skills to back the attitude. Plus she isnt that bad, in the restaurant training chapter of the manga we see her acknowledging Megumi for her skill and listening to her opinion/standing up for her.
I also like Megumi but i prefer the females with a stronger personality rather than the gentle type. |

really Erina in third must be alot of anime watcher that voted but we know what the real poll say.soma got first well saw that coming.i been read the story since the one shot if only they knew that erina and soma roles where reverse even tho people say erina look down on people when she don't or even if she do she never say it. where soma look down on everyone when he first got there think he the only one that knows how to cook he fire the first shot.
but i hope i get more Erina and Megumi seen that Erina said she a great cook and the became somewhat of friend during the time skip.and her and soma has become what can i say friend without realize it yet.[/img] |

I haven't read the manga, so my opinion is solely based on the anime, and I haven't had enough time to form an opinion on the characters yet.
So, as of now I like Tadokoro Megumi and Yukihira Souma about equally, I have to include both of them together on this, because I consider them as though they're different people when not together, and they just seem to complement and enforce each other. Of the supporting characters, I rather like Inui Hinako, especially her wacky mannerisms, but who could not love Noto Mamiko's potrayal of such an amusing character? 
As for Nakiri Erina, I don't dislike her, it's her actions that I don't like. |

Do you even read the manga? She has a large fanbase because of her character development and her overall presence, both in comparison to Erina. Tadokoro is currently spoiler[one of the best nine first year students of Tootsuki] and she has her awesome moments. If you haven't read the manga, just wait for the next episode and you see "the beginning of her rising".  Tadokoro is boss. (Non-canon official art)

I know that Erina and Megumi are considered both to be the lead female. For those that read the manga, is there 1 that is actually more of the female protagonist than the other?

Tadokoro has far more screentime and character development than any other female character. She's the closest character to be Souma's love interest (although that guy haven't shown any romantic feelings to anyone). Erina is the rival character, whom Souma hasn't dueled yet. She is mostly behind the scenes, barely appears and rarely interacts with Souma, but if she does, Souma usually gets major hints from her, even if she doesn't help him at all. The interesting thing is that Erina notices that Souma influences other people, even people who are close to her have been changed a bit after interacting with Souma. Tadokoro got most of her character development thanks to Souma. Erina and Tadokoro do interact at some point, and they respect each other without any dispute or something. |
