Glad they are at least offering replacements for those who want them.

Don't know what to be more surprised at, the fact that it took two years to find this or that Aniplex actually issued an apology for something and are doing something about it. That's the first positive thing that company has done PR wise in a long long time.

Was hoping alongside replacements they'd use this opportunity to do a retail Soundtrack release, only really so I can get more Kajiura without buying that show.
Ah well, surprised they admitted it as they could have very easily let it go under the radar.

Out of curiosity in what region does funimation have the SAO license?

I have all 4 parts of season 1 and how would I find out of my copy is different? Compare the CD to youtube video's?

Isn't Funi NA only, where Aniplex has the license to SAO?

But yeah, geez, how did it take two years for this to be confirmed?

You could try that, or wait for Aniplex USA's official announcement:

Quote:
Aniplex USA bundled original soundtracks with its release of the Sword Art Online: Aincrad and Fairy Dance arcs. The Original Soundtrack Vol.2 was coupled with Sword Art Online Blu-ray Box III: Fairy Dance Part 1. Aniplex USA told ANN that they are aware of the situation and plan to make an announcement soon.

NO Aniplex Japan apologized. Aniplex USA has only said they are looking into the issue. Save that comment for if aniplex USA ever apologized for the 10 or so recalls they have done over a bit over a year.

Yeah thats what I know as well so I was curious how that other user could have a funi bluray box set of SAO, could just be a simple typo of course.

Thanks! Yeah I'll probably do that in the meantime and then just wait to see what Aniplex USA says when they make an official statement.

2 years is a bit long for errors to be found in a song, even games take shorter times for errors, bugs, and glitches to be discovered.

Yeah I meant to say Aniplex USA, said Funi instead. Wasn't thinking when I was typing that. Assuming people know what I meant Rolling Eyes

I absolutely didn't mean it in a mean way at all of course Anime smile Since I know Aniplex owns the series in NA and Funimation is a NA only company I was genuinely curious how funimation released a box set of it because a typo didn't occur to me at first haha

Maybe the pitch alteration wasn't as noticeable as Aniplex makes it to be, since it took 2 years until they noticed it.
