Cool opening. I really hope the story itself lives up to the original.

Very nice! The expectations for this must be overwhelming, so I hope it can live up to expectations

I have no idea how they can expand on Steins;Gate without compromising the artistic integrity of the work. It was very well crafted and self-contained. The OVA, in my opinion, wrapped it all up perfectly, but even before that the regular series ending was very satisfying. I can only picture it being at best like the FMA Brotherhood movie where it's just inconsequential filler and at worst will just undo things from the series with some deus ex machina to make some more episodes. I'm always happy to be proven wrong, I love good anime, but trying to follow up Steins;Gate just seems like a losing proposition.

It's not going to be a sequel per se; the ending's not going to change. Zero's going to take place on the Bea worldline, the one where spoiler[Okabe tried to save Kurisu once, but failed and gave up. That's the one where he ended up sending the video message to his past self.] Even if this isn't good, it still leaves the original intact.

Wouldn't it be better to use the video 5pb loaded up themselves?
