7 OVAs in total including the one shipping with the 10th volume of the manga. Madhouse is spoiling us. Smile

It's already been announced that there will be 6 OVA's in total. Considering there will be 2 episodes per disc, that seems in alignment for one OVA for each of them as well.

Seeing as the manga has a lot of extra/omake chapters, it'd be nice to see a few of them animated.

I am EXCITED!

So in total there will be 19 episodes (12 TV, 6 home-media-bundled OVAs, 1 manga-bundled OVA). That's great.

Not to mention that all of the OVAs are listed at roughly 42-49 minutes so far, so that's basically doubling the length of the TV series. AND the Japanese Limited Edition volumes come with English Subtitles so you can import them and get this content extremely quickly. This is one of the happiest days of my anime collecting life! Is that per OVA or all together?

As of right now, only the first two volumes have been listed with a run-time on Bandai Visual's website, so it's hard to say, but the listing says: "Main Feature 48 min. + 47 min. bonus footage" for volume one and "Main Feature 50 min. + 40 min. bonus footage" for volume two. It's possible that that is including other extras, but I haven't seen anything about other video extras on these sets, so I'm leaning toward double length OVAs for these first two volumes at least.

If each OVA is indeed normal TV episode length (I cannot imagine them being longer than that), it is very interesting. Especially if said OVA's are a meaningful complement (story-wise) to the 12 TV episodes.

And with Viz Media's recent track record, the Japanese volumes of OPM having English subtitles is a blessing.

This isn't true actually. The OVA on the first DVD/BD is listed at 12 minutes on the official website, and the OVA on the second DVD/BD is listed at "approximately 10 minutes." I've updated the article with those times.
