Yeah with Castlevania, Ganbare Goemon, & Silent Hill with are just the three I can name off the top of my head. Yu-Gi-Oh is an exception.

and sadly it's made by Konami, the 3DS version better be of the quality of the PSP games or no buy, I want every card up to the latest expansion in Japan (or close to it) in the game even if it has to be a complete duel simulator in feel and look and have no story mode.

I'm surprised Konami haven't started putting up the classic YGO games on the Wii U Virtual Console since they have all the rights to do so right?

Sure they'd be older card lists and rules but I'd happily pick up one of the GBA games again to play YGO in classic mode before all the fusion and summon gimmicks later on put me off....

One of those things is not like the other. One of those things just doesn't belong. Can you tell me which thing.. is not like the others?

I'm really excited for the 3DS game. Arc-V has yet to have its own game all to itself, so it'd be nice if that's what it was. But even a higher budget all series game like Tag Force Special would be cool.

I am glad to see they're trying different mediums, but I'm a bit more hesitant on the computer game. They're past experience with them haven't been too impressive, but maybe they've learned and will make one that can actually last this time around. Can't really speak for the mobile side, since I have yet to play any of them.

I imagine Konami prefers focusing on the latest cards to hopefully increase sales of the real life game. But I would love some Virtual Console releases too.

They just released a new Tag Force earlier this year, they're not going to release another one so soon.

I just hope Konami won't do to their latest title of Yu-Gi-Oh what they did to Yu-Gi-Oh! ZEXAL: World Duel Carnival, where they stripped out a massive chunk of its content in its Western debut of it.

This new 3DS game is already confirmed for a global release. While that doesn't necessarily mean there won't be missing content, the fact that a localization is confirmed a lot sooner than World Duel Carnival (which we didn't know was even coming until shortly before release) is promising.

Yu-Gi-Oh! games aren't AAA under any modern definition of that term.

The series used to be annual and frankly, Tagforce Special isn't a real entry. They removed a lot of what made the series more appealing than other Yu-Gi-Oh! games.

Turns out it was produced on a much smaller budget than usual, hence why it wasn't up to the usual Tag Force standard. Thankfully it (and Legacy of the Duelist here) managed to do well enough to show Konami Yu-Gi-Oh! games are still worth making.

It's a shame that money didn't go to funding a new Tagforce on Vita. Based on Famitsu data, TFSP outsold the first 3DS game significantly in Japan. Yet 3DS is getting the new game.

I'm guessing it's due to the planned global release. Vita hasn't been doing as well as the 3DS in some territories so they probably figured the latter was a safer bet. Still, I hope that the Vita will eventually get a new Tagforce. (a complete one, this time) Considering Special's success, I'd assume there's at least a decent chance. Smile
