A puppet theme series...

Disappointing imo. I was honestly expecting something else.

At this point he's basically done everything else and has not disappointed me. Stop motion puppets? I'm ready, Urobuchi.

This will be the best animated show of its season. I'll bet on it!

Seriously, I think this looks really neat.

Interesting venture. I am pleased with Urobuchi's ambition to try new media forms while having a business sense to recognise that Wuxi themes have potential be a hit in Chinese-speaking regions (collaboration with Taiwan). Unwillingness to take risk (how many new Pretty Cure we need!?) on something different been a major problem of Japanese entrepreneurs.
I hope it will work, and I will certainly look forward to it.

Taiwanese Action Puppets sound like one of those fancy substitutes for "Chinese Cartoons"

Anyway, this is odd. But I will give it a look if it is ever subbed.

At least one?

I mean, you do realize that if Precure were to stop airing there would be barely any Magical Girl on air?

My point was the lack of innovation and risk taking in the animation industry and the over-reliance of series to sustain profit and revenue, and turning blind eye from deteriorating financial shape of keeping making the same thing with little venturing into something different. Toy sales figures from Bandai-Namco showing Precure goods had been in decline for years; TV ratings of Precure was also seeing similar trend. It turned out that Bandai-Namco didn't need Precure goods (they moved on to Yokai Watches even recent figures are showing YW popularity had peaked...), but Toei kept on making Precure (and DBZ). In my opinion, Toei should have spend more effort making more products like Exile from Paradise. It is bad to fail to recognise that most TV and film franchise finite lifespan. I regret to say but Precure was no Star Wars or Gundam or Mickey Mouse. (I wasn't specifically picking on magical girl, but it just happened Precure was a poster boy of the lack of risk taking).

Someone's putting some serious cash into this venture by hiring Gen and those seiyuu. I can't imagine any of them working on this for cheap.

Suwabe is in it, therefore I'll watch it.

Awesome. Always on board for something different. And for something that doesn't just have Urobuchi's name on it for advertising reasons.

Gen isn't hired, he is the one that came up with the project and pitched it.

though yes those seiyuu cost money.

Well, this is certainly interesting. I never thought I'd see the day when I can share common conversational topics with some of my acquaintances who watch Pili puppet shows...

Anybody remember Wulin Warriors on television? This reminds me of that, except awesome. I'd be all over this if simulcast on Crunchyroll or another venue. Would be nice to see this kind of show at its best.
