I've been enjoying the series so far, so I'm pretty excited about this dub.

I don't really have much- if any - experience with Sara Ragsdale's acting but I did like Tabitha Ray's performance as Michelle/Imataia in Fairy Tail.

Todd Haberkorn is a good fit for Kokonotsu and Inman is spot on casting for his dad. As for Justin Pate I haven't heard him since he was in Index season 1 (and Mitarai in YYH, but that was ages ago). So it will be nice to hear him again.

And with Jamie Marchi scripting it should be even funnier than the original.

Haberkorn is the only one I'm familiar with. Remains to be seen whether that's a good thing or not. Not sure I'll actually bother with the dub, but here's hoping it's fine.

Huh. I thought Todd would have been cast as Endo.

Honestly I was thinking Newton Pittman would be Endo since he kinda looks like Tsuchimikado from Index (who Pittman also played).

It would have been like a much more friendly Natsu/Gray dynamic.

Please keep the people behind the Prison School dub far faaar away from the script. I'm fine with the actors.

Same lead scriptwriter, so looks like you're out of luck, there.

It's a comedy with Japanese snacks. Localizing jokes can get iffy depending on the joke...

Kyle Philips is directing so I have confidence there, and Jamie is writing so that's usually fun.

Todd is always a solid actor, great to see Tabitha Ray show up again really hope she makes a mark with this role, her voice is so unique I want to hear it all the time. Inman does a great Crazy midlife crisis man so all around I think the cast is solid.

If the jokes can translate well enough we'll be in business. I know this series is pretty culture heavy so I'm willing to cut them a little slack if some of the jokes struggle or have to be altered a bit.

I was hoping more for a "Give me attention" actress in the only role here that mattered. They don't have anyone who can do that? It's all over the place in the Sentai dubs. Give me some acting, give me scenery chewing. This kind of show needs a performance, not a voice.

I wouldn't care so much but I have a subscription for this sort of thing, so not to get that sort of thing that would be a thing but this sort of thing instead is nothing to talk about.

I'm all for new talent, provided they're doing their own thing before getting a lead or in this show, the lead. The only point this show was made or is popular, I'd say.

I don't know if it's a case of "What were they thinking" or "Were they thinking in the first place?"

I believe Tabitha Ray is a professional Shakperean actor, so she's good at commanding a scene. She was really good in her Fairy Tail role so I don't think you should worry, she should be fine.

An important thing to remember is that arguably every criticism you can apply to an English dub can also be applied to the Japanese. If anything, many Japanese seiyuu are more overused (Kana Hanazawa is really popular) than the English.

Well that's another dub I failed to guess right. Closest was Todd, but I figured him for Endo as well. Gonna have to reread the manga again from his voice now. This is gonna get weird.

As for Hotaru, hoped it would be Brina, figured it wouldn't. I've never even heard of Tabitha before. I saw D-Frag, but there were so many new voice actors in that I couldn't tell whose who. Who's who? Which.
