Dragon Ball Xenoverse Delayed 1 Week to February 24

Bandai Namco Games announced on Friday that it is delaying its release of the Dragon Ball Xenoverse fighting game from February 17 to February 24 in the Americas and to February 27 in the United Kingdom. The company explained the delay is "in order to ensure the highest possible gameplay experience for our fans." The game will be available for the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One, and Xbox 360 consoles on the new dates. It will also be available for PC via Steam on February 27.

In Dragon Ball Xenoverse, players can take on the role of an original character who teams up with Trunks and the Kai of Time to stop the new characters Towa and Mira from changing the course of history in the Dragon Ball story.

The exclusive day one edition in the United States will include exclusive Frieza Soldier battle suits and Super Saiyan IV Vegeta as an exclusive playable character.

The game will ship for the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One, and Xbox 360 consoles in Japan on February 5. The first copies in Japan will include a download code for Akira Toriyama's manga hero Jaco the Galactic Patrolman as a playable character. Other early Japanese bonuses include a download code for a Master Roshi set for character customization, a Trunks:Xeno battle card for the Dragon Ball Heroes game, and a serial code to use Trunks:Xeno in the Dragon Ball Z Dokkan Battle smartphone game.

Bandai Namco Games unveiled the game in Japan in May and announced in June that the game will receive a Western release. In Japan, the game will feature an original video anime (OVA) relating to the events in the game.
