Capcom Announces Street Fighter x GI Joe Crossover Comic, Adds Ken to Street Fighter V

posted on by Karen Ressler

CAPCOM announced at its Street Fighter V panel at Comic Con International on Thursday that IDW Publishing will release a comic crossover between Street Fighter and G.I. Joe. The first issue is due out in the winter.

CAPCOM's senior director of marketing Francis Mao commented "Snake Eyes vs. Vega, it writes itself!"

In addition, CAPCOM announced that it has added Ken to Street Fighter V. The character will be redesigned to be "more aggressive" and distinct from Ryu, as the two characters have always been similar.

Street Fighter V is the latest entry in the Street Fighter fighting game franchise. The game contains new features, such as V-Reversal moves, and a special V-Trigger mode. The game is slated for release on the PlayStation 4 and PC (via Steam) in the spring 2016 release window. Those who pre-order the game for PlayStation 4 will gain access to a public beta for the game on July 23. CAPCOM will launch a separate beta this fall for those who pre-ordered the game for PC.
