Visual Novel Developer Frontwing Starts Countdown for Friday

posted on by Rafael Antonio Pineda

Visual novel developer Frontwing's official website launched a countdown on Tuesday. The countdown shows silhouettes of two characters, and the text "3 days to go," indicating it will end on Friday. The website updated with another image with different silhouettes and the text "2 days to go" on Wednesday. At the end of the countdown, Frontwing will reveal its newest project, along with the project's four heroines.

Posters of the four heroines will be available for free at Sofmap and Gamers! stores in Akihabara on Friday.

Frontwing ran an Indiegogo crowdfunding campaign for its Corona Blossom PC visual novel and released it on July 27 in English. The company also ran a similarly successful campaign for the game's second installment, and released that installment on Thursday on Steam. Frontwing initially launched a Kickstarter campaign to localize and release AKABEi SOFT2's visual novel Sharin no Kuni, Himawari no Shōjo under the title Wheel Country, Sunflower Girl in June, but canceled the campaign. The company plans to restart the campaign, with the title Sharin no Kuni ~The Girl Among the Sunflowers~ as the new English title. The campaign will launch this month. Frontwing also released its Purino Party game in English on June 22.

Frontwing revealed in March that it and Prototype's ISLAND visual novel is getting a television anime adaptation.
