Animate Girls Festival Draws 86,293 Attendees Over 2 Days

The Animate Girls Festival 2017 event, held November 3-4 at Sunshine City in Ikebukuro in Tokyo, saw a record 37,896 visitors in the main hall and 86,293 visitors total. The event also featured a record 131 booths.
The main hall attendance was up 9.4% from last year's event, and the overall attendance was up 12%. Last year's event also saw a year-on-year increase in total attendance for the two-day event: it increased 23% from 2015.
The event is aimed at girls and features otome games, anime, boys' love, goods, cosplay, and food.
