Muhyo & Roji Sequel, Godzilla: Planet of Monsters Manga Dated for March on Shonen Jump +

posted on by Karen Ressler

The official website for the Shonen Jump + web magazine announced that it will launch the new Muhyo & Roji's Bureau of Supernatural Investigation sequel manga on March 19 and the Godzilla: Planet of the Monsters manga adaptation on March 29.

The website revealed that the new Muhyo and Roji sequel is titled Muhyo to Roji no Mahōritsu Sōdan Jimusho: Mazoku Magushi-hen (Muhyo & Roji's Bureau of Supernatural Investigation: Magical Genus Magic Tool Master Chapter). Original creator Yoshiyuki Nishi is drawing the series, and it will follow Muhyo and his friends after they have grown a little after the conclusion of the first series. The original manga ran in Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump magazine from 2004 to 2008.

Youth Kurahashi (Summer Hero) is drawing the Godzilla: Kaijū Wakusei (Godzilla: Planet of the Monsters) manga based on the anime film of the same name. The film, the first in a trilogy, opened in Japan on November 17 and began streaming on Netflix worldwide on January 17. The manga will cover story material not in the anime, add original elements, and offer a glimpse into the "surprising past" of the characters.

In addition, Shonen Jump + will launch Perico's Jikai no Death Game ni Gokitai Kudasai!! (Please Look Forward to the Next Death Game) manga on March 23. Chinese artist and writer duo Yū Rei and Oūshin's Mode II (Dai Ni Mode) will launch on the web magazine on March 17. (Names listed with Japanese pronunciations.) Chinese company FanFan Comic is credited with publication.

Update: The Godzilla: Kaijū Wakusei manga also launched on April 6 on Home-sha's webcomic site "Z."
