Muse Communication Opens Job Listing for Japanese-to-Hindi Subtitle Translator

The "work from home" position will include duties such as "translating Japanese animation script and other materials to Hindi" and "preparing an SRT (SubRip Subtitle) file that can be directly used as a subtitles file for the Japanese anime video."
Candidates are required to be qualified for the JLPT (Japanese Language Proficiency Test) N2 level or above and have knowledge of Hindi in the Devanagari script. The company also prefers candidates with previous experience in subtitle translation and a "passion for Japanese anime."

Taiwanese anime distributor Muse Communication licenses and offers simulcast streaming of seasonal anime for India. Its Muse Asia and Muse India YouTube channels stream several anime as free ad-supported titles on YouTube. The company hosted a booth at Mumbai Comic Con on April 20-21.
