Trivia:

Kiyoshi Kobayashi and Eiko Masuyama were the only voice actors to voice the same characters in both versions of the pilot film(Daisuke Jigen & Fujiko Mine respectively).

Taichirou HIROKAWA & Shinsuke CHIKAISHI are the only voice actors of the cast who didn't provide voice work for any other Lupin III anime.

Kogoro Akechi was the name of a famous, Holmes-like detective in the novels of Japanese mystery author Edogawa Rampo. Akechi appeared only in the very first Lupin III manga, and was never seen again in any other Lupin manga.

Lupin's clothing was refer to being good for any "TPO." The Japanese adopted this now-obscure English term which means "time, place, and occasion." The subtitles on the Discotek DVD simplify this to "situation." Another borrowed word, the German "gewalt," was used to describe the "violence" that Lupin somehow delivers with "a cool touch." Some other words include "a la carte," "special order," and "young men."
