Trivia:

This is the first live action streaming series to be based on the Sonic the Hedgehog video game franchise. It is also the first Sonic the Hedgehog related series to not use Sonic’s name in the title. As well as the first Sonic the Hedgehog related series to not feature Sonic as the main focal point.

The fedora hat in which Knuckles wore for the majority of this series, resembles the same fedora he wore in the 1996 Sonic the Hedgehog OAV.

Kid Cudi who portrays Agent Mason had previously sang "Stars in the Sky", which was featured during the end credits theme for the movie “Sonic the Hedgehog 2”.

This series was released the same year as the 30th anniversary of Knuckles’s video game debut.

This is the first Sonic related series to be rated TV-PG instead of being rated TV-Y7 or TV-Y7-FV within the USA.

This is the first Sonic related series to receive a 12 rating in the UK which is much higher than the previous Sonic series that are usually given a U or PG rating within the UK.

Wade Whipple claims that Green Hills is the smallest town in the state of Montana. This claim is an exaggeration as in reality the smallest town in the state of Montana, is Ismay which is located in Custer County which is within the eastern part of the state and has a population of no more than 17 people. The town was established in 1995, its name Ismay was named after Isabella and May, who were the daughters of the prominent railroad tycoon, Albert J Earline. Ismay’s purpose is to represent the historic settlement of the northern Great Plains of Montana. The town only has one post office, one church, and no other businesses. Ismay is also a top location for UFO sightings in Montana.

This series was originally planned to debut on Paramount+ for a Fall 2023 release, before it was changed to April 2024.

With the exception of the flashbacks and mentionings, this is the first Sonic the Hedgehog related series to not feature physically feature Dr. Robotnik. It was also the first Sonic the Hedgehog series to not feature Dr. Robotnik as the main villain.

This is the first Sonic the Hedgehog related series to not feature Amy Rose and Shadow the Hedgehog since their debuts in “Sonic X” series.

Each of the episode's title sequence ending features Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, and Wade performing as a band. In each episode, Wade would be seen performing a different instrument. The following instruments are the following: Tambourine, Cymbals, Bell, Accordion, Maracas, & Gong.

In episode 1, at the start of the episode during Knuckles' training, Knuckles runs past a "goal" sign post in which it spins and reveals an image of himself, referencing the Goal Plates from the older Sonic games.

In episode 1, marks the only episode of the series which features the title sequence at the very end. It is also the only episode in which the title and logo swap places with "DO NOT TOUCH" and "PROPERTY OF WADE WHIPPLE" on Wade’s CD holder case.

In episode 1, it was never revealed how Mason or Willoughby acquired the rings to transport themselves. It is likely that the rings are the same ones Sonic dropped in Russia during the events of “Sonic the Hedgehog 2” and were somehow recovered by G.U.N or by the Buyer and gave it to them.

In episode 1, during the scene of Sonic listing the many activities Knuckles can do while being grounded, he lists video games among the activities and places a wireless headset on Knuckles and comments how far video games have come since the 90’s. This is a meta joke on how both Sonic & Knuckles made their video game debuts back in the 1990’s.

In episode 1, one of Wade's nicknames for Knuckles was "Knuckington Bear", a parody towards Paddington Bear the title character of the British kids book series. For the Latin American dub, the nickname was changed to "Johnny Knucksville", referencing the actor, Johnny Knoxville.

In episode 1, Agent Mason's "Cool Catchphrase Moment" line is a reference to Knuckles' line in the movie “Sonic the Hedgehog 2” during his first fight against Sonic.

The title used in episode 2, is a reference to a quote used by Will Smith as Mike in the 1995 Michael Bay action-comedy movie “Bad Boys”. It was also the movie Wade was watching during the flashback of his days of being a police trainee. He was seen taking notes while watching the scene where Mike saves Marcus from being run over by Fouchet, in which he says the line "Don't ever say I wasn't there for you”.

In episode 2, it reveals that Dr. Robotnik's full name in the Sonic Cinematic Universe is Dr. Ivo Robotnik(excluding the movie tie in novels, as they're regarded as non-canon to the movies).

The IceCap Ski Resort in episode 2 is based on IceCap level which first appeared in the game “Sonic the Hedgehog 3”,

In episode 2, the way Wade is riding on Knuckles while gliding in front of the full moon is a direct spoof to the 1982 Steven Spielberg movie “E.T.: the Extra Terrestrial”.

In episode 2, Wade described Agent Willoughby as being a "psychotic Uma Thurman lookalike". Agent Willoughby does in a way, resemble Uma Thurman’s character Mia Wallace in “Pulp Fiction”, due to the similar bob haircut. For the Latin American Spanish dub, Wade instead described Agent Willoughby as “Uma Thurman's crazy sister”.

In episode 2, for the Italian dub, due to the Icee frozen drink not being a manufactured frozen drink in Italy. For the scene of Wade ordering a blue raspberry Icee at the convenience store, was changed to him ordering a blue raspberry granita.

In episode 2, due to Hot Pockets being an American manufactured microwaveable turnovers. For the Latin American dub, the radio DJ reader who reported Wade as being the winner of the "Hot Pocket eating contest" was changed to “hot dog eating contest”.

In episode 3, Shabbat normally begins on the sunset of Friday, which is most likely the day this episode takes place on.

In episode 3, among the movie & TV show posters on display in Wade’s old room are the following: “Addams Family, The” (1991 film); "Beavis and Butt-Head Do America", "Big Lebowski, The"; “Civil Action, A”; “Naked Gun 2½: The Smell of Fear, The”; “Rambo: First Blood Part II”; “Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves”, “RoboCop” (1987 film), “Speed” (1994 film), “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles” (1990 film); “Karate Kid Part II, The”; “Ren & Stimpy Show, The”, “Total Recall” (1990), & “Wayne's World 2”.

In episode 3, among the memorabilia found in Wade’s old room are the following: a green Ghostbusters II t-shirt, a Tamagotchi digital pet, a 1987 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles bed linen, and a cardboard cutout of Raye Hollitt, as Zap from the athletic competition TV series “American Gladiators” whom Knuckles took an interest in due to her muscular physique.

In episode 3, the movie in which both Wendy & Knuckles were watching is the 1990 Gary Marshall romantic comedy “Pretty Woman”.

The title used in episode 4, is a reference to the character Iblis from the game “Sonic the Hedgehog” (2006), who is sometimes referred to as the "Flames of Disaster". While the Fire Demon puppet featured in the rock opera sequence is loosely based on Iblis.

In episode 4, the puppet that was used to depict Knuckles' father during the rock opera sequence ‘unintentionally’ resembles Ken Penders. Penders was a writer who had worked on both the Sonic the Hedgehog Archie Comics and the comic book spinoff of Knuckles the Echidna which was also published by Archie Comics. When the actual Ken Penders became aware of this through his Twitter account, he expressed that he was mildly amused by this tribute.

The episode title used in episode 6, is a spin on the phrase "What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas".

In episode 6, when Knuckles' fists burst into flames during his final battle against the Buyer, Wade yells out "The Flames of Disaster!", which is a reference to both the title of episode 4 and Iblis from the game “Sonic the Hedgehog” (2006).

In episode 6, Shadow the Hedgehog was indirectly mentioned by Dylan; after witnessing the fight between Knuckles and the Buyer, he stated that something "similar" happened in 1974, which is exactly 50 years ago in the Sonic Adventure 2 game.
