This was the only Ranma ½ movie to be released after the production of the TV anime had concluded.
The only Ranma ½ movie that was based on a pre-existing Ranma ½ manga story. It was based on the 72nd story arc known as "The Phoenix Sword Arc" which ran for two chapters.
This is the only Ranma ½ movie to be released in widescreen. The other two were presented in full screen.
Kuno either did not see Akane douse Male Ranma with the bucket of cold water right in front of him and transforms into Female Ranma or just ignored it.
The Piyo Piyo chick who is commonly seen on Kyoko's apron from "Maison Ikkoku" makes an appearance during the definition of the word imprinting.
This is the only Ranma ½ movie that does not involve leaving Furinkan and the only one that does not involve a kidnapping.
Out of the three movies, this one had the least number of characters.
The only Ranma ½ movie to not feature Cologne and Happosei.
