Trivia:

The episode special "Diverting Traffic at the Beach" released with AnimEigo's DVD's of the first TV series is actually part of the "You're Under Arrest Specials" series. Most of the episodes in this series were shorts (5-minute episodes) which ADV licensed and released as "You're Under Arrest: Mini Specials". The final episode in the "Specials" series was a full-length one which AnimEigo licensed.

The character Shouji Toukairin is original to the anime. He acts as Natsumi's foil and later her love interest, while in the manga Natsumi continues to be infatuated by Kachou and Detective Tokuno until the very end of the series.

The temple featured in many episodes is called Jirikihongan. Coincidetally the temple featured in Fujishima Kousuke's another work, Oh/Ah! My Goddess, is called Tarikihongan.

In episode 7 Natsumi hits the baseball and sends it off into space, the scene is focused on Strikeman but if you look at Natsumi in the background she's wearing her shoes when she had taken them off before trying to hit the baseball.

In episode 40, Miyuki identifies a paintball gun as a replica of the Heckler & Koch MP-5A4. However, it is actually a replica of the telescoping stock MP-5A5; the -A4 has a fixed stock.

In episode 52, the Summer Special, the creators of the anime either got carried away or forgot some basic facts about their characters; Aoi-chan is depicted as a real woman between 20:56-20:58.
