Trivia:

Episode 12: During the parade scene, a boy in a dog suit, a maid, and a cloaked girl are seen from behind. These are likely supposed to be Saito, Siesta, and Louise from the "Zero no Tsukaima" anime.

The prominent difference between the art of Shakugan no Shana Second and Shakugan no Shana is perhaps partly a consequence of the change in the holder of Art Director position from Shin Okui to the current Yoshinori Hirose. This may also account for the similarity between the art of Shakugan no Shana Second and Zero no Tsukaima: Futatsuki no Kishi.

Aster, Hecate's signature attack, may be named after the microtubules of centrosomes as both are radial and tubular.

The piano instrumental used as background music in the latter parts of episode 7 and 24 is Hishoku no Sora, the first opening song for season 1.

Shana's new sweater, if combined with her battle cape, will result in an attire similar to Louise's. This is perhaps most noticeable in episode 21, at 19:17.
