Comment:
Raijin Comics was a manga anthology magazine published in North America and largely backed by Sega Corporation at its inception. It was targeted to the adult male demographic.
In June 2004, Raijin Comics stopped circulation and went on an indefinite "hiatus" after issue #46. This was largely caused by the magazine's near-simultaneous release with Viz Media's Shonen Jump USA. Since its demise, two of its titles - Slam Dunk and Guardian Angel Getten - were picked up by Viz Media and TOKYOPOP, respectively.
