Promotional video for studio's "K-ON! Singing!" super-deformed figure line

Kyoto Animation began streaming a 20-second stop-motion figure promotional video on Friday for its upcoming line of super-deformed figures for the K-ON! anime film. The "K-ON! Singing! Series" of figures refers to the film's ending theme song "Singing!" by voice actress Aki Toyosaki. (Note: the below video has no sound.)

So far the figure line features figures for the characters Mio Akiyama, Ritsu Tainaka, and Yui Hirasawa. The Yui figure will ship in August, the Ritsu figure will ship in September, and the Mio figure will ship in October. The poseable figures are 10 centimeters (4 inches) tall. Pre-orders for the Mio figure will go on sale on March 3 at 6:00 p.m. in Japan.

The Yui figure costs 4,000 yen (about US$49), and the Ritsu and Mio figures cost 3,500 yen (about US$43). The Yui figure's price is higher because it comes with an exchangeable head part. The company will take pre-orders for the Yui figure until March 31.
