McDonald's Japan Celebrates Halloween with Yet Another Black Burger

Not to be outdone by Burger King Japan's highly publicized "kuro burger," McDonald's Japan has unveiled their own uniquely-colored burgers. Diners seeking a culinary adventure can now grab a squid ink burger with fried onions and cheese, or a more standard "white" chicken sandwich with Camembert cheese for 370 yen (about US$3.37). Unlike Burger King's version, the McDonald's black burger just has normal cheese, but the lack of weirdness is made up for by the strange, oozy black sauce.
Naturally, consumers are already curious, though if the pictures on Twitter are any indication, the burgers are a lot less scary in real life, and mostly just unappetizing.
