Horror Mangaka Junji Ito Collaborates with Pokemon For Spooky Illustrations

Pokémon is making a push to make this year's Halloween eerier than usual, creating a special KowaPoke (kowai Pokémon, or "scary Pokémon") webpage dedicated to the more ghoulish ghost-type Pokémon.

The property has also teamed up with Junji Ito, the creator of horror manga like Gyo, Tomie, and Uzumaki, for a series of scary illustrations which feature a more sinister take on the normally cuddly creatures.

The illustrations can be downloaded as smartphone wallpapers, and will also appear on t-shirts, which will be given out as prizes.
