Gundam's Zabi Family Inspires New Teacups

Following the earlier announcement of Gundam-themed Kutani ware, Bandai is issuing its own traditional glassware.
Pre-orders opened on Friday for Zabi family teacups. The cups and saucers come in red (Degwin Sodo Zabi), green (Dozle Zabi), and blue (Kycilia Zabi). The green and red cups are a sturdier design while Kycilia's teacup is more delicate in appearance. The family crest is depicted on each cup and the saucer shows the logo for the Principality of Zeon. The character's individual signatures are signed on the inside.
The set is designed by chinaware company Noritake. The company released a previous Zabi family tea set last year. That series included two cups based on Gihren and Garma Zabi.
Each bone china cup and and saucer are sold individually for 7,776 yen (US$63). Premium Bandai will ship orders in February.
