Tsuguhiko Kadokawa, the Chairman of the Board of Directors at Kadokawa, brought up the anime Kemono Friends and Saga of Tanya the Evil in a recent speech at the entrance ceremony for N High School, an internet correspondence high school managed by Kadokawa's Dwango Academy.

During the entrance ceremony, held on April 5, Kadokawa noticed the nervousness of the 67 incoming students and decided to try and lighten the mood. He started by congratulating them on entering high school, but when that received a lukewarm response he joked, “I want to get some kind of response. Even a battle cry would be ok.”

Then, in the middle of his congratulatory address, Kadokawa suddenly asked, “Do you know about Kemono Friends?” This managed to get some smiles out of the crowd, and nearly all of the students raised their hands. Then, he asked, “What about The Saga of Tanya the Evil?” but only a few students raised their hands.

Kemono Friends, follows the adventures of a lost child in the enormous zoo Japari Park, where the animals have mysteriously turned into Animal Girls. The anime aired from January 10 to March 25 and is available for streaming on Crunchyroll.
