Eromanga Sensei Gets Its Own 'Painful Plane'

Few can boast owning an itasha, or picture-wrapped car, with their favorite video game or anime character but even fewer can claim an ita plane. Starting next week, the E-Flight Academy will unveil a Eromanga Sensei plane at Nagoya airport to the public. The academy deals with Internet communication courses for prospective air traffic controllers and pilots.
The wrapped plane is a Piper PA-46 light aircraft and it will go on display on June 3. The images were selected by Aniplex and show the series' logo and characters on the left side of the fuselage and creator Tsukasa Fushimi's previous work Oreimo on the right side. Inside, Eromanga Sensei heroine Sagiri Izumi's room is recreated.

The plane first appeared on a live niconico broadcast on May 21 and held a caravan flight from Saga Airport to Matsuyama Airport on May 22 and another caravan flight from Saga Airport to Kumamoto, Miyazaki, Kagoshima, Nagasaki, and back to Saga on May 28.
The plane has more flights scheduled on June 2 and June 4, and a exhibition day at Nagoya Airport on June 3. The exhibition day will allow visitors to take a tour inside the plane while it is grounded. Three visitors will also be selected via lottery to win color boards signed by Sagiri Izumi voice actress Akane Fujita. Fujita also signed the airplane during the niconico broadcast.
Eromanga Sensei's first Blu-ray and DVD volume is slated for release on June 28. The Gamers store in Namba, Osaka briefly rebranded itself as "Takasago Books," one of the locations in the Eromanga Sensei anime series.
