A3! Ikemen Game's Big Screen Ads Streamed

posted on by Lynzee Loveridge

The "ikemen-raising" mobile game A3! aired ads on big screens outside of some of Japan's major train stations last month. The ads debuted on the Hit Vision screens outside Tokyo's Shibuya station and Osaka's Ebisubashi station on May 27-28. Mankai Company is streaming the ads for a limited time.

In the Shibuya ad, super-deformed versions of Spring Troupe members Sakuya sakuma. as Romeo and Masumi Usui as Julius appear on stage. Romeo asks Julius to go on a trip and leave behind their town. They plan to go around the world. The duo then talk to the real-world people in Shibuya. Sakuya speaks about how he is looking forward to making their group popular, while Masumi says he only needs the support of the director.

The Ebisubashi video is identical, except it references the viewers in that area of Osaka.

Pony Canyon also began streaming promotional videos for the game's A3! First Autumn EP and A3! First Winter EP releases earlier this month. Both CDs will ship on June 28 for 2,160 yen (about US$20) each.

The mobile game reached 3.5 million downloads as of June 9.
