Series' Heart character expected to make Virtual YouTuber debut in November

Fist of the North Star's Kenshiro and Raoh have set aside their differences to form a post-apocalyptic rock band with singer Tomoyasu Hotei and you've got a front seat to their concert. The group came together to celebrate the series' 35th anniversary with a special song "202X." Kenshiro plays the bass and Raoh is on drums.

Users need only a smartphone, the tentatively titled "Hikari TV - VF " app, and corresponding AR markers to enjoy the show.

The "202X" single was written by Hotei for First of the North Star's 35th anniversary. The CD is slated for release on September 19 and comes with the AR guitar pick markers needed for the app for 3,240 yen (US$30). A regular version with out the picks will also go on sale for 1,080 yen (US$9.75). The CD also includes a second track, "Bombastic."

While Kenshiro and Raoh are enjoying their new careers as rock stars, series artist Tetsuo Hara announced that King Organization chief vassal Heart is going to join the growing virtual YouTuber trend. The official Fist of the North Star website put out a call to find the face behind Heart. The project needs someone to be responsible for the character's motion capture animations and voice.

Heart is expected to make his virtual debut in November. The project's staff are accepting auditions until September 17. Staff will narrow down its selections from September 18 to September 28.
