Attack on Titan Chimi Chara Theater: Fly! New Levi Squad gag shorts also get promo video

The first DVD and Blu-ray Disc volume of the third season of the Attack on Titan anime will ship in Japan on October 17. The release's bundled bonuses will include a drama CD based on the Shingeki no School Caste alternate-universe manga, the newest installment of the Shingeki no Kyojin Chimi Chara Gekijo shorts, and a video summary of Yūki Kaji's experiences at Anime Expo. Pony Canyon is streaming promotional videos that preview the bonus content.

The anime home video release's drama CD will be inspired by the Shingeki no School Caste manga that appears at the end of each volume of Hajime Isayama's original Attack on Titan manga. The story takes place in the year 850 at Titan High School in the U.S. where a student hierarchy exists. Each chapter of the manga serves as a "fake preview" for the next volume. The video above introduces the manga's story. The drama CD's cast includes Marina Inoue as Armin, Yui Ishikawa as Mikasa, Yūki Kaji as Eren, Yoshimasa Hosoya as Reiner, Daisuke Ono as Erwin, Kishō Taniyama as Jean, Shiori Mikami as Historia, and Hiroshi Kamiya as Levi, with all the cast members reprising their roles from the main anime.

Each Japanese home video volume of the Attack on Titan anime bundles the Shingeki no Kyojin Chimi Chara Gekijo anime shorts, which feature super-deformed versions of the franchise's characters in gag comedy stories. The new series of shorts is titled Shingeki no Kyojin Chimi Chara Gekijo 'Tondeke! Shinsei Levi-han' (Attack on Titan Chimi Chara Theater: Fly! New Levi Squad). The video above previews the short for the main anime's episode 38, which is the first episode of the third season. The story begins with the newly formed Levi Squad cleaning a remote cabin while bickering.

The "Eren, Los Angeles e! Kaji Yuuki Micchaku ~Shingeki no Tabi~ in Anime Expo 2018" (Eren, to Los Angeles! Featuring Yūki Kaji: Attack on Trip in Anime Expo 2018) video will show voice actor Yūki Kaji's experiences at Anime Expo this year, including the world premiere of the third anime season.

The third season of Attack on Titan premiered at Anime Expo on July 8 and debuted on television in Japan on July 22. The series is currently airing on NHK in Japan, and Crunchyroll is streaming the show as it airs.
