posted on by Lynzee Loveridge

CHIROLU's If It’s for My Daughter, I’d Even Defeat a Demon Lord light novel series is inspiring an anime series next month and a whole bunch of illustrators, too.

A collaboration booklet with artwork by 12 artists and two manga creators will go on sale on June 23. The 36-page booklet collects fan art of the series drawn by professional illustrators. The participating artists include Takamichi (Hyakumanjō Labyrinth), Mai Nanaka (Frontwing game artist), Yuki Sakura (LiveRevolt), Topia (Tatsuki to Taidana Metsu Ryūkishi), game illustrator Hotaru Suzuho, hentai artists Con Yukiu and Ichihaya, osa, pote, cake, Matokechi, and Myuton.

If It's for My Daughter, I'd Even Defeat a Demon Lord manga artist Hota. drew the booklet's cover art. Artists Mugi and Suzume Somemiya (Kono Kamen no Akuma ni Sodan wo!) drew the booklet's included manga pages.

The If It’s for My Daughter, I’d Even Defeat a Demon Lord anime series will premiere on July 4. J-Novel Club is releasing the light novels digitally in English, and it describes the story:

Dale is a cool, composed, and highly skilled adventurer who's made quite a name for himself despite his youth. One day on a job deep in the forest, he comes across a little devil girl who's almost wasted away. Unable to just leave her there to die, Dale takes her home and becomes her adoptive father. Devil or not, Latina is beyond adorable, and the adventurer soon finds himself head over heels with being a parent. But why was she out in the forest to begin with, and why does she carry the mark of a criminal?

Takeyuki Yanase (Himegoto, Onsen Yōsei Hakone-chan, In Another World With My Smartphone) is directing the anime at Maho Film. Takao Yoshioka (WATAMOTE, High School DxD, Konohana Kitan) is writing and supervising the series' scripts. Hota., the artist of the novels' manga adaptation, is credited for design cooperation. Miyako Nishida, Toshihide Masudate, and Kaho Deguchi are all credited as character designers and chief animation directors. Kanon Takao will perform the show's opening theme song "I'm With You" as her character Latina, and Nobuhiko Okamoto as his character Dale will perform the ending theme song "This is Yūsha, but Zannen!?."
