posted on by Jennifer Sherman

Arashi male idol group member Kazunari Ninomiya revealed in a message to the group's fan club members that he has married. Ninomiya identified his spouse only as someone he has had a relationship with for some time.

Ninomiya thanked his fans for their support and said he plans to continue his activities as before. The 36-year-old also noted that this year marks the 20th anniversary of Arashi, and he has been with the group for more than half of his life.

The Asahi Shimbun reported that, according to its sources, Ninomiya's partner is a 38-year-old former news anchor. Media news source Oricon News reported Ninomiya's spouse as an "ordinary woman" not involved in the entertainment industry.

In addition performing music and making appearances with Arashi, Ninomiya is an actor. Ninomiya's live-action film roles have included Gantz's Kei Kurono, Assassination Classroom's Koro-sensei (voice role), and Ōoku: The Inner Chambers' Mizuno. He has appeared in live-action television series such as Yamada Tarō Monogatari, Ryūsei no Kizuna, Haikei, Chichiue-sama, and Freeter, Ie o Kau. Ninomiya also starred as Kuro in the anime film Tekkonkinkreet.

Arashi announced in January that they will suspend group activities after December 31, 2020.

Arashi formed in 1999 under the Johnny & Associates agency, and is made up of Jun Matsumoto, Satoshi Ohno, Shō Sakurai, Masaki Aiba, and Ninomiya. The group has released 16 studio albums and several compilation albums, in addition to singles. The group's latest studio album, 「untitled」, debuted in 2017.

Arashi performed theme songs for the Hana Yori Dango [2005] and Hana Yori Dango 2 [Returns] live-action television series, the Honey and Clover live-action television series, and the Kochikame anime series.

Other members of the group have also acted in television series and movies. Matsumoto starred in several Hana Yori Dango live-action projects, as well as live-action Gokusen and Kimi wa Pet projects. Ohno starred in the live-action Kaibutsu-kun series, Sakurai starred in the live-action Yatterman and Honey and Clover films, and Aiba starred in the live-action Bartender, Sakanoue Animal Clinic Story, and My Girl series.
